Cyber Security Club

An entrance test was conducted at Zebar School for Children to form "The Cyber Security Club 2023-24." The club aims to raise awareness about cybercrime risks, promote ethical behaviour, enhance cybersecurity skills, and foster collaboration among members. Out of 72 students, 15 were shortlisted for the club based on their quiz scores, communication skills, positive interactions, academic performance, and active class participation. The club will engage in various activities such as workshops, awareness campaigns, competitions, and research..

 


Induction Ceremony of CYBER CLUB-ZSFC
On November 22, 2023, a significant meeting transpired at Zebar School for Children, involving the Principal Ms. Sharmista Sinha, Vice-Principals from various sections, and the Cyber Nodal Officer. The purpose of the gathering was to acknowledge and address the 15 students who had been selected as members of the newly formed Cyber Security Club. Both the Principal and Vice-Principals extended their heartfelt congratulations to the students for their proactive involvement in the club, emphasizing the crucial importance of cyber security awareness in today's world.
The students passionately offered a range of activities at the meeting with the goal of spreading cyber awareness throughout the academic year. The plans included interactive campaigns and workshops aimed at including both academics and students. The administration of the school acknowledged the students' dedication to creating a cyber-secure environment and declared its full support for their endeavours. As it assumes the duty of enlightening and protecting the school community in the digital age, this is a promising start for our Cyber Security Club.

 


CYBER CLUB-ZSFC
The Cyber Club at Zebar School for Children organized its first event from November 25th to November 28th, 2023. This activity involved students from the 8th grade who actively participated in a poster-making and slogan-writing competition. Despite being the club's debut event, the response from students was positive.
The main goal of the activity was to teach young students about responsible and safe behaviour online. The focus was not just on giving information but also on developing critical thinking skills. The idea was to empower children to make smart decisions in the digital world.

 


Title: Little Guardians Online: A Cybersecurity Adventure

The Cyber Security Awareness Presentation was shown to the students in Grades 1 to 5 at Zebar School for Children as a part of the Cyber Security Club. The activity was conducted from November 30 to December 8, 2023. The primary aim was to educate young minds about the importance of cybersecurity.
The event featured Ms. Manisha Mahant, Ms. Vina Barot, and Ms. Neelam Mathur as the primary presenters, guiding and engaging the students throughout the Cybersecurity Awareness Presentation for Grades 1–5.
Cybersecurity involves safeguarding internet-connected systems, including hardware, software, and data, from cyber threats. The presentation focused on raising awareness among students and teaching them the significance of protecting personal information and using the internet safely.

 


Nukkad Natak

On December 30, 2023, as part of the Cyber Security Club, students in Grades 9 and 10 at Zebar School for Children performed a street play called Nukkad Natak to raise awareness about cybercrime. The play aimed to educate the audience on the importance of safeguarding personal information and adopting secure online practices. The students portrayed scenarios depicting online fraud with engaging dialogues and relatable situations. The play effectively communicated the potential risks associated with the digital realm and the significance of being vigilant online. The performance was well-received by the audience, which included neighbourhood residents, teachers, parents, and other students. They praised the efforts of the students and the creativity and educational value of the Nukkad Natak. The event provided a valuable platform for the community to receive important information on cyber security, enabling them to navigate the digital world with more resilience and awareness. Not only did the performance showcase the students' abilities, but it also served as a useful resource for the community to learn about cyber security.
Through engaging visuals and age-appropriate content, the initiative aimed to instil good online practices early on. Topics covered included recognizing and avoiding potential cyber threats, understanding the basics of strong passwords, and reporting suspicious online activities. By fostering a sense of responsibility and knowledge about cybersecurity, the presentation aimed to empower the younger generation to navigate the digital world securely.
