Annual Teachers Conference
Celebrating Successes, Embracing Challenges
More than 600 teachers and staff of Udgam School for Children and Zebar School for Children came together under one roof to celebrate the successes and embrace the challenges that lay ahead. The Annual Teachers’ Conference was held at YMCA , Ahmedabad on 8th June,2018. It was attended by trustees, directors, teachers and staff of Udgam School and Zebar School. The compere for the day,Ms. Aarti Kellog, supervisor of Udgam Primary School engaged brilliantly with the audience and facilitated the event with ease. The day began with a prayer song followed by the lighting of the lamp by the trustees of the school Shri G.K. Choksi, Shri J.D. Patel, Shri Shaunak Majmudar and Shri Vartik Choksi along with Academic Advisors Ms. Radhika Iyer,Ms.Pratima Patell and Mrs Villoo Parikh.
A motivating speech by veteran educationist, Shri Rajabhai Pathak, left an indelible mark on the audience. The speaker of the conference was Swami Sukhabodhananda.He is the founder Chairman of Prasanna Trust. It was a great honour for the school to have him as a speaker. His speech was based on Alacrity to life. He addressed our teachers and explained them as to how they can expand their vision which in turn would help the children for success in life.
The conference was a platform for knowledge sharing and an opportunity to discuss the successes and failures of 2017-18 and the future plans of 2018-19. Using powerpoint presentations, the Vice-Principals of Udgam School for Children and Zebar School for Children spoke at length about challenges they faced last year and the changes they will bring in their respective sections in the future. Executive Director,Sri Manan Choksi then presented his ideas which inspired the teachers on dealing with day to day challenges in schools with parents and children. He spoke at length on how parents, school and teachers have a common goal and they can unite and give intelligent, hardworking and healthy responsible citizens to the country.
Both schools have an accomplished and dedicated team of teachers and staff and it is quite difficult to decide who is more deserving. Next was Employee Recognition and Motivation through awards to those who had proved themselves to be a shade better than their colleagues this year. Finally, Ms.Reena Kahlon, Vice-Principal of Zebar School for Children, gave the Vote of Thanks.
Assembly on World Blood Donor Day
Raising awareness of Blood Donation is the need of the hour and keeping that in mind our students of class 6D held an assembly yesterday. The assembly commenced with the prayer, which was followed by the thought of the day and National and International news. A power-point presentation created by Nirvana and Netra was shown to all the students. The informative presentation highlighted essential facts related to blood donation, types of blood group, minimum age of blood donation and the theme of World Blood Donor Day this year, as well as the benefits of blood donation for both the donors and the recipients. After the presentation, a quiz was also organised based on the same topic. In the end, Vice-Principal Ms. Mili Bhattacharyya addressed the students and motivated them to spread the word on the benefits of Blood Donation for the society at large.

Karete Champ- Ridit Malhotra
We are glad to share that Ridit Malhotra, a student of our school has displayed proficiency and skill in the art of Karate. He has successfully attained the rank of White I belt. The school and management are proud of his achievements.
World Book Day
World Book Day is a yearly event on April 23rd, organised by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization(UNESCO), to promote reading, publishing and copyright.It is the most significant celebration of its kind, designated by UNESCO as a worldwide celebration of books and reading, and marked in over 100 countries all over the world.
In 1995 UNESCO decided that the World Book and Copyright Day would be celebrated on 23 April, as the date is also the anniversary of the death of William Shakespeare and Inca Garcilaso de la Vega, as well as that of the birth or death of several other prominent authors.
At Zebar,We celebrated World Book Day by focusing on different authors and reading from a variety of books. The children of grade 8 took part in various fun and creative reading and writing opportunities to promote a love of books and reading not just for pleasure but also for a purpose. Children read not only with their classmates but with children in different classes. They were given an opportunity to share and read various books.
Tenis Star – Rajvi Panchal
This season is raining proud moments for us. Rajvi Panchal, a student of standard Ninth, has secured 2nd position in Under 16 Girls BGSC Talent Series conducted by AITA (All India Tennis Association) held at Bhuj Gymkhana Sports Centre. We wish her congratulations and good luck
Roller Skater- Darsh Thummar
We are thrilled to share that Darsh Thummar a student of our school has secured the first position in Eka Skaters Competition in the under 8 boys category held at Eka Club, Ahmedabad.The school and management are proud of his achievements.
