Mother’s Day Skit

“Mother is the heartbeat in the home; and without her, there seems to be no heartthrob.”

Skit, dramatization is a unique tool to explore and express human feelings. The young brigade of ZSFC Grade XII caught the rapt attention of the audience by performing a comic skit which was organized on 18th August 2022.

The budding actors skilfully prepared their presentation, every character was at their creative best. The powerful performances of young actors transported the audience to the realm of cinema. The skit was thoroughly entertaining as well as hugely successful in providing food for thought. Such is the power of effective use of cinema.

The topic of the skit was- Mother’s Day written by J.B.Priestley, a skit from their NCERT textbook. The skit displayed the importance of mother in every individual’s life. As everyone knows, motherly love is incomparable. Mother’s arm is the most comfortable place when you feel sad, depressed, afraid, or lonely. The skit comprised of the inseparable bond between a mother with her husband and children.

The skit was conducted in order to enhance imaginative skills, powers of creative expression, linguistic skills, and showcase their talent in dramatization under the guidance of English educator Ms. Himanshi Prakash and the Coordinator of Senior Secondary Section Ms. Dhara Mehta.

Interact Club Installation

A Rotary club is a global network of neighbours, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who strive to make a positive impact on our communities, the world, and ourselves.

Rotary International’s Interact club is for young people between the ages of 12 and 18. The Rotary Club Sponsors Interact clubs, which provide support and guidance but are self-governing and self-supporting.

The Interact Club Installation Ceremony was held at Zebar School on 28th July 2022

It was graced by distinguished Rotary Club members of Ahmedabad Greater. It was the Principal’s pleasure to welcome the eminent Rotarians to the school and encourage the Interactors to make others’ lives better by spreading motivation for success and attainment that is all-inclusive and deeply satisfying through small efforts.

Zebarites hoist the National Flag under the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign.

‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ is a campaign run under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to encourage people to bring home the Tiranga to commemorate the 75th anniversary of India’s independence. The Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an initiative of the Government of India to commemorate 75 years of Indian independence and the wonderful achievements of its people. Several students raised the National Flag at their homes in support of this initiative.

The event was culminated by the Principal Ms. Sharmistha Sinha and the Vice Principal Ms. Mili Bhattacharyya addressing the audience by appreciating the young actors for their splendid performance. The thunderous applause that actors received by the gathering was testimony to the fact that skit conveyed a powerful message.

Gujarati Bhasha Divas is celebrated

Gujarati Bhasha Divas is celebrated every year as a tribute to the legendary Gujarati poet Veer Narmad and Jhaverchand Meghani the founder of modern Gujarati literature. All the teachers of Gujarati department trained and motivated the students to participate during the weeklong celebration. On 25th August 2022, Thursday Gujarati Bhasha Divas was celebrated by Middle Section – Gujarati Department in our beautifully decorated Auditorium.

The Gujarati day celebration started with class 7 students narrating – The goal of their life. Class 8 students enacted mime with messages like save water, follow traffic rules, never procrastinate, etc.

This was followed by class 6 students reciting beautiful poems with clear pronunciation and intonation. The audience enjoyed each event designed meticulously by our Gujarati educators Chaitali Sutaria, Bharti Patel, and Hemangini Patel.

 


 

The Secondary Section hosted a vibrant and inspiring book launching event in celebration of ‘Gujarati Diwas’.

The ceremony symbolized the enlightenment of knowledge and the cultivation of young intellects, setting a reflective tone deeply rooted in the school’s fundamental values. Throughout the event, these values were prominently highlighted as students shared their experiences of writing and seeing their stories come to life. Their testimonies not only showcased their literary prowess but also exemplified their resilience and commitment to personal growth.

The esteemed presence of Shri Ketanbhai Trivedi, the Digital Editor of Chitralekha News Weekly, as the chief guest added further significance to the event. In his inspiring speech, Shri Trivedi emphasized the importance of nurturing creativity in education, underscoring that true education extends beyond academics to encompass the cultivation of imagination, critical thinking, and creative expression. His insights reinforced the school’s ethos of providing platforms for the voices of young minds.

The atmosphere exuded profound respect for the learning process, with the audience applauding the students’ dedication and accomplishments. The event culminated in the unveiling of the student anthology, marking a noteworthy milestone in the school’s literary endeavors.

Zebarites Sanjana Panchdhane and Kriday Kalra from Grade 9 A, bagged third position in ‘REJUVENATE’

Zebarites Sanjana Panchdhane and Kriday Kalra from Grade 9 A, bagged third position in ‘REJUVENATE’ Inter- School Science Exposition -2022-2023, held at Hiramani Higher Secondary School, Ahmedabad, on Monday, 29th Aug 2022, under the mentorship of their Science Educators Sheetal Panchdhane and Anushri Nair.

Their project titled, ’Carbon Capture and Storage’ stood unique in the eighty-four innovative scientific ideas presented by Thirty-four schools of Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar.

In this project, students explained about CCS: The effective technology of separating and capturing Carbon dioxide from the industrial flue gases and utilizing it for commercial processes, which would help in reducing global warming.

 

YUVA Model Assembly

It was the first time ever that young, proficient students addressed the Gujarat legislative assembly. An event was organized by Gujarat’s legislative assembly, under the chairmanship of speaker Nimaben Acharya, and with the support of School Post, on Thursday, July 21st, 2022, in which 182 students were selected as MLAs for a day.

Aayushi Vadher, Nachiket Shah, and Rutvi Inani from Zebar School were selected for Yuva Model Assembly. The students were accompanied by their educators, Ms Dhara Mehta and Ms Jaskiran Sidhu. There was a question hour, a budget discussion on agriculture and health, a discussion on Swarnim Gujarat Sports University’s bill, along with a resolution on ‘Climate Change and Global Warming’ and ‘Shala Praveshotsav’.

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel inaugurated the event, which was attended by ministers from various Gujarat Government departments.

It was a truly unique experience for our students.

We are delighted to announce that two of our students won prizes at the Poems Out Loud Competition yesterday. The event took place at JG International School and was attended by 26 schools from all over the state.

Kiyaan Sharma from grade 5 A bagged the 2nd Prize in Sub Junior Category.

Himani Patel from class 6 A bagged the 2nd Prize in Junior Category.

The Champions Trophy was awarded to Zebar School for achieving the maximum points in the competition.
