Penguins, Owls, Flamingo, Ostrich in Zebar Bird Sanctuary

We at Zebar believe that education is key to the success of children. Our teachers made learning come alive for preschool children by creating ‘Bird Sanctuary’ in school where they viewed birdlife and ecosystems practically. The pre-schoolers were taken for a tour of the bird sanctuary by their teachers. They were delighted to see penguins in the school and bats hanging from the window panes. Teachers used paper-cutouts and paper models to make birds. This tour enhanced their knowledge as they could observe the types of birds, their natural habitats, their food habits, their actual size and shape. Children discussed the specific characteristics with the teachers. It was an exciting and informative activity for the pre-schoolers as they got an opportunity to see the birds which they normally see on television or in books.
