Theme based

Thematic learning is a method of organizing teaching around themes or topics.Thematic learning helps in promoting learning with understanding and discourage rote learning, making it possible to integrate instruction across core areas such as reading, writing, math, history, science, and the arts.

Thematic units are designed to encourage students to delve deep into topics developing both awareness and understanding of existing connections across ideas. Under the thematic learning instruction, organization of curriculum can be based on Macro or Micro theme depending upon level of class & the topic to be covered for that particular months.

Zebar philosophy is to provide an environment in which children are freely allowed to occupy oneself using specially designed equipments within a carefully prepared environment, thereby they could acquire self-confidence, an ability to concentrate, self-discipline and a natural joy for learning which comes from within & helps becoming life long learners.

Reggio Emilia

Reggio Emilia approach is followed at ZIS, is turning heads with its noble take on teaching—one that makes parents, teachers and children equal shareholders in the learning process. It is a system that brings itself to: the role of collaboration among children, teachers and parents.

Jolly Phonics

Jolly Phonics is a structured synthetic phonics programme developed by UK primary/elementary teachers Sue Lloyd and Sara Wernham to teach children to read and write, whereby in ZIS children are taught right from the start that letter sounds can be blended together to pronounce words, gives them an excellent start, and the basic elements are completed in the first term of school if intensive teaching is given. Of course this phonics teaching can alternatively be carried out in the context of reading attractive books from our specially designed linguistic lab.

Multiple Intelligences

ZIS puts in practice the Multiple Intelligences approach, developed by Dr. Howard Gardner from Harvard University and blended learning classrooms where technology is given outmost importance, much more than an orderly environment. Zebar is a new age institution that focuses on student-centred model of learning as opposed to the traditional content-based, teacher-centred, examination-oriented one-size-fits-all model of teaching.
